Cake Smash Photography Session

Ronnie Saini is a very experienced and personable photographer and he understands the patience required for taking the baby photographs and yet to capture everything about the special birthday boy or a girl.

We have the option of having the baby/cake smash session in your home or at an outdoor location. A typical baby session lasts around 1 hour. Please think of a color or theme you would like to use for your cake smash. I highly recommend giving your baby a cupcake or slice of cake to eat and touch prior to the session. Most babies are unsure of the smash cake if they have never touched and eaten cake before.

One final tip: The cake smash sessions can get very messy. Make sure to bring a spare change of clothes for you to wear during the cake smash because you most likely will end up covered and I would hate to have your nice clothes ruined!

Ronnie did our little one’s first-year cake smash photoshoot, and despite our baby’s noncooperation, Ronnie captured some amazing moments for us to cherish forever!

Frequently Asked Questions
What should my baby wear?
Most parents either find a cute outfit or have their baby wear only a diaper cover for the smash. I recommend matching the outfit and balloons to the cake you choose.
What kind of cake is best?
Some babies have allergies (milk, eggs, gluten, peanut, etc), so I recommend letting your bakery know about any allergies to ensure that baby doesn’t have adverse reactions during the session. You can choose whatever theme, style, or color you like!
What size of the cake should I order?
– 6″ size cake is good enough
– Tell the bakery to give you a small cake good for 4-6 people
What parents are bringing to the session?
– Cake
– Cake Topper “one” or of your choice
– Balloons, pendants, poufs, and props of your choice
– Extra clothes for baby to go home in
– Plastic bag for the dirty clothes
– Extra water for baby (Babies get very thirsty once they start eating the cake!)
– Plastic table cover from Party City (Blue for boy/Pink for the girl)
– Baby’s favorite toys & snacks, just in case!
What is Ronnie bringing to the session?
– Cake Stand (I have a decent collection of cake stands)
– Chalkboard, “ONE” white wooden cutouts
– Baskets
– Backdrops for Indoor Sessions
– and of course the Camera equipment!
